Back in 2015, I started a little online blog called Road to Paradise. The name was a playful nod to my last name, but the heart behind it was much deeper. It began as a personal space—a way to process, reflect, and make sense of life’s twists and turns. Writing became my outlet for understanding who I was and what I was experiencing.
My story, like so many others, includes chapters of challenge: growing up as a child of divorce, navigating emotional trauma, abuse, alcoholism, co-dependency, and even family estrangement. Although these are heavy topics, Road to Paradise became a polished journal—a place to lighten my mental load and share openly with anyone who cared to read.
Over time, the blog evolved right alongside me. It shifted from being just about my journey to becoming a space for connection—a way to listen to and honor the stories of others.
In 2023, I decided to archive my personal entries and embraced a new vision: sharing less of my own story and more of the incredible stories of the people I meet. Believing that through storytelling, we can soothe the wounds in our own.
Most recently, there has been yet another shift to the heart of Road to Paradise, as it calls me to “jump first", and to be the example of a storyteller that I wish to inspire others to become. Inspiring other to share their truths and their hearts is one small step in creating the world I wish to live - a place of better understanding and compassion.
Welcome to Road to Paradise. I’m honored you’re here.
